    RADCLIFF – Call it an Obama-nation of Radcliff police relations with the public and other law enforcement agencies.

    As did President Barack Obama with the Internet throughout his presidential election campaign, Radcliff Police Department now is looking to the popular social networking site Facebook and the Web as a way to improve interaction with the community.

    VINE GROVE — Two sisters will be competing in the Miss Kentucky Pre-Teen and Teen pageants in June.

    The pageants are part of the National American Miss program.

    FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — Lexington Lafayette scored the first seven runs of the game and cruised to a 8-2 win over LaRue County on Sunday in the Beach Bash.

    Jesse Johnson’s two-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning plated Max McCubbin and Travis Crim for LaRue County’s only runs. Tyler Hornback added a triple and a stolen base, while Christian Seymour had a single and Justin Chelf had a stolen base.

    Slade Owens (0-1) took the loss, striking out one, walking three and giving up three hits in 2 1/3 innings.

    What is public safety worth?

    In the state of Kentucky, $10 million has been invested this year in keeping travelers along Interstate 65 and Western Kentucky Parkway safe from crossover wrecks.

    It’s one way to assist motorists to avoid potentially fatal crashes.

    Dave Lawson knows what that feels like. Last year, the Hardin County many lost his wife and a daughter in a crossover collision along I-65 south of Elizabethtown. Three other people were killed in the crash as well.

     Patricia Anne Bonsall, 63, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, March 28, 2009. The funeral is at 7 p.m. Thursday at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff; burial will be at a later date. Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
