    GREEN. Army Pvt. John E. Green has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. A 2004 graduate of Westinghouse Career Academy in Chicago, he is the nephew of Robert Green of Chicago and the son of Yvette Jackson of Radcliff.

    Ashley Logsdon of Cecilia and Jerald Smallwood of Eastview were married Dec. 27, 2008, at Pritchard Community Center by Brother Buddy Brooks.

    The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Kathy Montgomery of Campbellsville and Bennie Logsdon of Elizabethtown.

    The groom is the son of Densel and Rose Hash of Eastview.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father, Bennie Logsdon.

    Matron of honor was Shannon Desjourdy and flower girls were Makenna Logsdon and Joslyn Gale.

    Parents welcome Ryley Thomas

    Ryan Thomas and Lisha Michelle Hancock of Elizabethtown announce the birth of a son, Ryley Thomas Hancock on Aug. 6, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long.

    Grandparents are Claudie and Renea Hancock of Greensburg, Ken Miracle and Cheri Miracle, both of Elizabethtown and the late Charles P. Duke. Great-grandmother is Louise Milby of Summersville.

    Carmonys celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

    Alonzo “Lon” E. Carmony and Lois Louise Swartz Carmony will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 20, 2008 with a family dinner.

    They were married Dec. 20, 1958, by the Rev. Wade Hickerson at his home in Glendale.

    Mr. Carmony’s parents are Samuel Carmony and Lucy Alice Barton. He retired from the Navy in 1998 and from civil service in 1998.
